"It'd creeped over the far edge of the rock, just a hand at first, long fork-like fingers gripping the dead animal like a doll. Then I saw the head, and it grinned at me, bright golden eyes cutting the darkness like two beacons. It was as though it knew I was there and had waited for the most opportune time to make its grand entrance and scare the piss out of me, which it did, but I hadn't noticed that until later.
"When I finally made it past the dreadful glow of its eyes, the rest of the thing's face came into focus..."

A WALK ON THE DARKSIDE RELEASED
This month marks the release of the anthology, A WALK ON THE DARKSIDE, which contains my 7000 word short story, "Something In The Air". A WALK ON THE DARKSIDE is the third volume in the Bram Stoker Award Winning "Darkside' series, edited by John Pelan. This third volume, coined as "21 All New Stories From Modern Horror's Most Daring Voices", contains fiction from many great writers, including Brian Hodge, Brian Keene, Brian Hopkins (am I seeing trend here?), Lee Thomas, Mike Oliveri, Tim Lebbon, Tom Piccirilli, Mehitobel Wilson, and many others. This book was published by ROC Books in mass market paperback, and is available in bookstores everywhere.
On another note, my tale "End Of The Line" is currently available in the anthology SHIVERS 3, available form CD Publications, www.cemetarydance.com. Here you will find tales from Thomas F. Monteleone, F. Paul Wilson, John Maclay, Douglas Clegg, Tom Piccirilli, and many others.
DEEP IN THE DARKNESS is still, after three months, Leisure Books's bestselling horror title on Amazon.com. Thank you very much for your continued support!
The release date for SLEEPWALKER has been pushed back to November 1st. This is being done in an effort to create proper promotion for it. You'll find an excerpt in the forthcoming issue of BLACK OCTOBER MAGAZINE, due out next month.
That's about it for now...I'll have an announcement forthcoming regarding a very special novella package in a couple of weeks. Stay tuned!
